A few words from our Chairman, Dave Brine.

Without a doubt, 2022 has been a challenging year for companies in the construction sector. However, the focus at RAPID-EPS on innovative design, coupled with our high standard of service to our global partners, has helped us maintain our strong position and deliver good results overall.

Exploring new markets
We have continued to support our long-standing customers, many of whom have been with us for over a decade. We have also seen strong growth in the groundworks and shoring markets. This includes supply to major projects such as HS2, which we look forward to supporting going forward.

Showcasing innovative design at Bauma 2022
In-house design and manufacture are integral to the ongoing success of RAPID-EPS – this year, we have proven that we can push the boundaries to ensure safe working at height. This is demonstrated with the launch of the new Protecto G2 system for Hünnebeck GMBH, which in October, we were proud to support and showcase alongside our partners at Bauma 2022.

As a construction and mining machinery trade fair, Bauma is an excellent global platform on which to promote companies that are at the forefront of innovation, digitalisation and sustainability. With 3200 exhibitors from 60 countries taking part, and over 200 countries represented by almost half a million visitors, our systems received a wide and appreciative audience.

Meeting client needs
The quality and reliability of safety equipment, such as our new protection fan, Rapid NET, is paramount in safe working at height. Nonetheless, we recognise that cost and efficiency are also strong influences in decision-making. To meet market demands, we carried out some value engineering on our previous protection fan design. Our new Rapid NET System not only maintains its high quality but is both lighter and more competitively priced.

Future opportunities in global safety
As a frequent visitor to global construction sites, I make it my purpose to listen to customer concerns around safety on their projects. Following a visit to projects in the US and taking on board inciteful customer input, we went on to design and manufacture innovative products that will transform important aspects of their safety and productivity needs.

In addition, we can also announce further promising market opportunities in 2023, which will see us working with new partners in Southeast Asia, Brazil and Australia (NSW), as well as new exciting announcements in the new year.

Finally, this year, I would like to thank all of our customers and partners for choosing RAPID-EPS as a solution to their site safety requirements and welcome future clients to explore what we have to offer in 2023.

Dave Brine.
