Breathing new life and energy into Coventry, Friargate is a major regeneration scheme that will deliver a new commercial district and transform the city. Occupying a site of 15 hectares (37 acres) between Coventry railway station and the city centre, this strategically important redevelopment will compromise a vibrant mix of commercial, civic, leisure, residential and hotel space and provide a greatly enhanced public realm.

The scheme will regenerate Friargate into a revitalised area of the city as an office led, mixed-use model of sustainability and create a high quality gateway to Coventry will provide over 3 million square feet of mixed use space over 25 efficient and sustainable new buildings including:

  • Two hotels
  • New residential dwellings
  • Vibrant streets with retail/restaurant/bar units
  • New high quality public spaces and the expansion and improvement of Greyfriars Green
