Following his dream, eighteen-year-old Patrick Whittaker from Wakefield has been busy diving towards his goal of becoming a Marine Biologist.  Already securing his advanced open water scuba diver training, Patrick is now taking the plunge for his diving masters.

Studying at Aberystwyth University, the talented diver with the help from his sponsor Rapid-EPS, will be spending the summer in Indonesia where he will undertake around 60+ dives in 6 weeks on operation Wallacea.

The expedition based on Hoga Island in the Wakasbi marine national park, which is the centre of the Coral Triangle (most diverse reef system in the world) will see young Patrick Whittaker helping a series of scientists with Marine biology projects. This will include indicating the health of the reef, to new technology projects such as 3D mapping of reefs.

We look forward to following Patrick on this fantastic journey and helping him to achieve his Masters over the coming years!
