With 50 years’ experience of engineering design and manufacture behind the name - and U.S. Patent Granted No US 8,002,229 B2 - RAPID EPS is in position to transform temporary edge protection and fall prevention on building and construction sites.

RAPID EPS Development of the Fall Prevention System

Back in 2007, the team behind RAPID EPS used their combined expertise to explore the possibility of constructing an edge protection system with a telescopic post. This leap in design would make the system quick to install without the need for tools.

They explored several novel ideas, creating the prototype of the telescopic design, which the company’s existing “RAPID Post” is now based on. Recognizing its potential early on, RAPID EPS’s founders applied to the U.S. patent office in early 2007 and now also have patent-pending in U.K, Europe, and Middle East on the RAPID Post, plus registered design.

The RAPID EPS Production Model for Fall Protection

Along with the now tried and tested production model of the RAPID POST, the company offers RAPID PANELS, RAPID LATCH and RAPID CLAMP to create the full RAPID Edge Protection System for fall protection on construction sites.

Its ‘rapid’ construction (it can be assembled 10 times faster than existing drill & fix systems) is possible in part because it requires no tools or drilling and minimal training. With standard height and full height models, the RAPID EPS is fully compliant with OSHA 1926.502 and BS EN13374:2004 for Class A Protection.

Exceptional Growth for Fall Protection

RAPID EPS has seen exceptional take-up for its new fall prevention, edge protection system already, and is now supplying to the construction industry in the US, Europe and the Middle East through its global partners.

Future Developments for Construction Safety Equipment

RAPID EPS seeks to continually improve its RAPID Post and EPS system. Always consulting building and construction companies, RAPID EPS plans to deliver the safety equipment the construction industry needs through extensive knowledge, technical innovation and a firm commitment to site safety.

Currently in development are RAPID Cups, rubber faced cups to fit over the post anchor plates for edge protection on finished floor surfaces without damage.
