RAPID EPS is a new company offering a revolutionary edge protection system to the global building and construction industries.

With 50 years’ experience of engineering design and manufacture behind the name - and patent-pending - RAPID EPS is in position to transform temporary edge protection on building and construction sites.

RAPID EPS Product Development

Back in 2007, the team behind RAPID EPS used their combined expertise to explore the possibility of constructing an edge protection system with a telescopic post. This leap in design would make the system quick to install without the need for tools.

They explored several novel ideas, creating the prototype of the telescopic design, which the company’s existing “RAPID Post” is now based on. Recognising its potential early on, RAPID EPS’s founders applied to the patent office in early 2007 and now have patent-pending on the RAPID Post, plus registered design.

Through customer feedback the RAPID Post has seen several changes in the past three years. Significantly, a switch from square to round profile made the telescopic post much more versatile for use within the scaffolding and construction industry.

The RAPID EPS Production Model

Along with the now tried and tested production model of the RAPID POST, the company offers RAPID PANELS, RAPID LATCH and RAPID CLAMP to create the full RAPID Edge Protection System.

It’s ‘rapid’ construction (it can be assembled 10 times faster than existing drill & fix systems) is possible in part because it requires no tools or drilling and minimal training. With standard height and full height models, the RAPID EPS is fully compliant with BS EN13374:2004 for Class A Protection.

Exceptional Growth

RAPID EPS has seen exceptional take-up for its new edge protection system already, and is now supplying to the construction industry in Europe, USA and the Middle East through its global partners.

Future Developments

RAPID EPS seeks to continually improve its RAPID Post and EPS system. Always consulting building and construction companies, RAPID EPS plans to deliver what the industry needs through extensive knowledge, technical innovation and a firm commitment to site safety.

Currently in development are RAPID Cups, rubber faced cups to fit over the post anchor plates for edge protection on finished floor surfaces without damage.
